The desire to create the most delicious dishes was passed down from my father, Big Clifford, and uncle Walter Lee. All of the men in our family have a genetic disposition for great cooking. My wheelhouse happened to fall under outdoor grilling and backyard libations. I created this website as an entertaining blog for weekend and holiday grillers as well as self proclaimed backyard pit masters to share their cookout triumphs as well as their failures

The name 13 Pitmasters represents my inner circle of trusted pit masters and advisors. We consist of 12 men and 1 woman. Their names must be kept secret to protect the innocent. Combined, we have defeated over 4 dozen self proclaimed grill experts in amateur competitions. You don't want to be the next on the list.
